A handmade gift, a darkened room, a broken pot, and an old family Bible lead Clara and Benji to four stories of hope. In The Birth of Jesus, they discover that God's greatest gift arrived in a humble manger. Elijah stands on Mount Carmel and trusts the true God when he feels outnumbered. Jonah learns that running away cannot hide a mistake-and that God offers second chances. Timothy remembers the faith taught by his mother, Eunice, and his grandmother, Lois, and finds courage to serve. Written as short stories for children ages 6-9, this richly illustrated collection connects children living today with the people and events of Scripture. Each chapter ends with a gentle question to help families talk about hope, truth, mercy, courage, and faith together. Includes The Birth of Jesus, Elijah and the Fire from Heaven, Jonah and the Big Fish, and The Mentoring of Timothy.
